This is the planet that proves you wrong Zach. this is Gleise 581 D the planet that most likely has a large and deep ocean.
Its mass is eight times the Earths mass,so the gravity would be much heavier. Imagine throwing a rock up in the air and have it just come crashing down,thats a demonstration of what it would be like there. It is in the habitable zone. Plate tectonics would not effect the planet ,in other words no earth quakes. This might just be a second Earth

Jake just becuase it's mass is eight times the mass of the earth doesn't mean it has to have a bigger gravitation.
Oh and I dont see anything about oxygen or trees. How the heck is it habitable without that. And what about fresh water. Oceans are salt. Wow you need to clear so things up..........
